Lye

Treatment with lye helps preserve the wood’s natural pigment and prevent darkening, while opening up the wood’s pores prior to further finishing application.

Stains

  • Are available in both solvent and water-based solutions
  • Easy to apply and long lasting
  • Wood can be re-sanded and further coats applied
  • For both interior and exterior use.

Paint

  • One of the most common forms of finish for interior and exterior use
  • Many factory-made joinery products, e.g. wooden windows, have factory applied paint surfaces that can carry guarantees of up to 8 years.
