New carbon footprint calculator

 

In order to assess the carbon footprint of a building, an easy-to-use calculator has been developed by ECCM (Edinburgh Centre for Carbon Management) which enables you to estimate the CO2 impacts of the materials used in construction projects and the overall carbon footprint of the building.

IMPORTANT - Before you open or download the tool:

  1. Open Microsoft Excel
  2. Go to Tools/macro/security and set security level to medium
  3. Click on www.eccm.uk.com/httpdocs/calculators.html then on Building Materials Carbon Indicator to download the tool
  4. If prompted click 'Enable Macros'.
