Wood for Gold
So far this year, two Parliamentary lunches have been held. These lunches enable the Steering Group to meet potential sponsors and to advise existing sponsors about upcoming initiatives and about new business opportunities.
The good working relationship with the Olympic Delivery Authority has continued with a variety of meetings on bridges and on measures to ensure no illegally logged or sourced wood is used at the Olympics. Meetings have also been held with Skanska and Arup.
TRADA's 'In Touch with Timber' conference on 20 May will be themed around the Olympics. Tickets will be available shortly from TRADA.
For more information on how you can get involved with Wood for Gold, please contact charles.trevor@woodforgood.com
Please note the Pre-Qualification Questionnaire for all those interested in supplying timber to the Olympics as a Tier 1 contractor is on the London 2012 website. Anyone interested in the Olympics should register on the London 2012 website. There is a new element to the site called Competefor https://www.competefor.com/london2012business/login.jsp which will show you all the opportunities and give you and opportunity to access them.
