Finnforest Timber Academy

Finnforest Timber Academy, Boston

The Finnforest Timber Academy in Boston, Lincolnshire is a custom-built training facility built to develop a centre of excellence within the timber industry.

The facility offers Finnforest customers the opportunity to develop skills and knowledge of their staff via a series of training programmes. The main horizontal and vertical structures of the building are made from Kerto* LVL beams, whilst the window frames and stair treads are also manufactured from Kerto.

Ceilings and some walls are clad in Birch Plywood, with some of the unseen roofing covered in Spruce Plywood.

External walls in the main academy, decking on the south elevation and the internal panelling to the main academy are manufactured from Thermowood ™

Flooring and remaining wall panelling is in Finnforest Redwood.
Other materials used in the building are - Western Red Cedar (wall covering under the stairs and office external cladding). Canadian Maple for hardwood strip flooring.
Internal doors are ash.
All products were supplied to the building from Finnforest's range of wood materials.
